My name is Rachel and I had the opportunity to chat with you and your mom a few weeks ago when the programme first started. It is great to see that you are posting activities while on holiday. Good for you! I hope that you are enjoying the journey and that you will have time to continue with us over the break.
From this activity I can see that you have found three sports teams with the name 'fern' in the title. It's interesting that they are all women's teams, isn't it? I was surprised when I was first doing my research for this programme and found out that it is our women's teams in New Zealand who use the word 'fern' in their title. Do you have a favourite jersey? I think that I like the netball jersey most as it has the largest fern. I think that it is quite dramatic looking. What about you?
We'll look forward to talking to you again soon! Hope that you and your family have a wonderful new year celebration. Our family is going to have a small barbecue. It will be really relaxing and fun. I can't wait!
Happy New Year!
Rachel :)
P.S. When you come back to the programme, can you please be sure to tell us where you found these pictures of the jerseys? Were they on a website? We have to be sure that we include a link to the original source of the pictures in order to properly give credit to the original author. Thanks, Tom!
Thanks for writing back to me. I see that you found the images on Google Search. Did you use a free image finder by any chance? I am just asking because we generally have to include a link to the website where we found the pictures that we use on our blogs. We include the link in order to give credit to the original author of the pictures, however, we don't have to include the link if we got the pictures from an 'attribution-free' site.
Hope that you are having a really nice summer! I also hope that you'll have time to hop back online and join us again for the SLJ this month. The programme is open every day until Friday 25 January 2019 so there are still two full weeks to earn points and be in to win some great prizes!
Kia ora Tom,
